Özet
The theory of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) has demonstrated notable success in decision-making procedures compared to other set theories, leading to its application across various domains in daily life, including political science, robotic systems, economic research, and medical studies. The effectiveness of IFS in decision-making within these domains has been well-established. With the introduction of controlled sets, authors delved deeper into studying decision-making problems, aiming to leverage this new concept to improve methodologies, models, and approaches in various domains. And obtained results compared by intuitionistic fuzzy applications. In this study, controlled set theory is applied to medical diagnosis using Szmidt and Kacprzyk’s smallest distance method. The obtained results are compared with the previous ones. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
