dc.description.abstractConjugation of iodine to SubPcs gives them both immunostimulatory and immunomodulatory characteristics based on the changes in the pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion levels by macrophages. SubPcs with no iodine conjugation acted as anti-inflammatory agents and did not have immunostimulatory potential. © 2019 World Scientific Publishing Company.
