Türkiye’de Ekonomik Büyüme ve Turizm Gelirleri İlişkisine Dair Bir Araştırma: Bir Zaman Serisi Analizi (1963-2020)

Özet
Turizm dünya genelinde önemli bir gelir kaynağı olarak görülmekte olup, önemi de günden güne artmaktadır. Bu araştırmada ise Türkiye’nin 1963-2020 dönemi ekonomik büyüme ve turizm gelirleri ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmada öncelikle değişkenlerin durağanlıkları incelenmiş, ardından sırası ile eş bütünleşme analizi, uzun dönem katsayıları tahmini ve nedensellik analizleri yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ekonomik büyüme ile turizm gelirleri arasında uzun dönemli pozitif bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Nedensellik analizi soncuna göre ise; ekonomik büyüme ile turizm gelirleri arasında iki yönlü nedensellik tespit edilmiştir.
Tourism is seen as an important source of income throughout the world, and its importance is increasing day by day. In this research, the relationship between economic growth and tourism revenues in Turkey's 1963-2020 period has been examined. In the study, firstly, the stationarity of the variables was examined, then cointegration analysis, long-term coefficients estimation and causality analyzes were performed, respectively. As a result of the analysis, a long-term positive relationship was determined between economic growth and tourism revenues. According to the result of causality analysis; Two-way causality has been determined between economic growth and tourism revenues.
