Artificial intelligence has undoubtedly become one of the most important issues in today’s world with the rise of the Internet and the increasing computing capacity of computers. With the transfer of expertise to artificial intelligence and robots in many subjects that humans can do, the formation of autonomous systems has become possible. Nowadays, in many production environments, industrial robots, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence are used in all areas, from warehouse management systems to production, marketing, and distribution. In this study, the use of artificial intelligence and robotic systems in the supply chain has been evaluated from the perspective of sustainability. In addition, a mathematical model is presented and solved for the lot size determination problem, which is one of the supply chain decisions. © 2023 selection and editorial matter, Turan Paksoy and Muhammet Deveci; individual chapters, the contributors.
