    SATIŞ BÜYÜMESİ VE AR-GE YOĞUNLUĞU BAĞLAMINDA BİST İMALAT SEKTÖRÜ ŞİRKETLERİNİN PANEL VAR ANALİZİ İLE İNCELENMESİ

    Bu çalışmada, satış büyümesi ve Ar-Ge yoğunluğu arasındaki ilişki panel VAR yöntemiyle araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, Borsa İstanbul imalat sektöründe araştırma ve geliştirme gideri olan 60 şirketin 2006-2022 yılları arası verileri kullanılarak analiz yapılmıştır. İlk olarak hangi birim kök testlerinin uygulanmasının uygun olduğunu belirlemek amacıyla birimler arası korelasyon testine bakılmış ve buna göre uygun birim kök testleri seçilerek durağanlık analizi yapılmıştır. Yatay kesit bağımlılığı ve birim kök testlerinin ardından en uygun gecikme uzunluğu belirlenerek satış büyümesi ve Ar-Ge yoğunluğu arasındaki ilişki panel VAR analizi kapsamında ileri ortogonal sapmalar genelleştirilmiş momentler tahmincisi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, Ar-Ge yoğunluğunun birinci gecikmesi satış büyümesini açıklamada anlamlıdır. Diğer yandan, Ar-Ge yoğunluğunun her iki gecikmesi ise Ar-Ge yoğunluğunu açıklamada anlamlı görülmektedir. Varyans ayrıştırmasına göre ise son gecikmede satış büyümesine ilişkin öngörü hata varyansının yaklaşık %20’si Ar-Ge yoğunluğu değişkeninde, yaklaşık %79’u ise kendisinde meydana gelen şoklarla belirlenirken diğer taraftan son gecikmede Ar-Ge yoğunluğuna ait öngörü hata varyansının yaklaşık %79’u satış büyümesinde, %21’i ise kendisinde meydana gelen şoklar tarafından belirlenmektedir.

    The Development Process of Innovation Models and the Areas in Which They Have an Impact Today

    The value that companies place on innovation is the driver of growth and competitive advantage. However, companies that achieve growth through innovation may have needs for different innovation models. This study explains the theories and practices that guide innovation and the innovation models that are used accordingly. To this end, it focuses not only on the theories of innovation, but also on the process of innovation and the areas it affects. It explains how companies, individuals and other third parties involved in innovation realize innovation and the stages they go through. Basically, innovation models are divided into six: black box, linear models, interactive models, system model, evolutionary model, and innovative models. Each model is first discussed theoretically and then the areas it affects are supported with current examples.

    THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INNOVATION ACTIVITIES AND PROFITABILITY OF BIST MANUFACTURING COMPANIES

    This study's purpose is to analyze the connection between innovation activities and profitability of companies trading in the manufacturing industry on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. For this purpose, data from independently audited financial and income statements of 45 manufacturing companies with R&D expenditures during 2008-2021 are analyzed using the panel data. According to the examination's findings, there is an important and advantageous connection between business innovation activities and firm profitability. To conclude, the results of research examining the connection between innovation activity and profitability have both micro and macro implications. On a micro level, the solution assists firms in gaining a competitive advantage by ensuring that existing production systems operate effectively and increasing their share. At the macro level, they improve the welfare of society and help promote long-term economic growth and the accumulation of knowledge, especially the effective and cost-effective utilization of national resources.
