A Reliability Generalization Meta-Analysis of the Mother-To-Infant Bonding Scale
(Sage Publications Inc, 2024) Demir, Emin; Oz, Sena; Aral, Neriman; Gursoy, Figen
The Mother-to-Infant Bonding Scale (MIBS) is among the most popular measurement tools to evaluate caregiver-infant attachment. We carried out a meta-analysis study to explore the generalizability of the reliability coefficients for the MIBS in different studies. The literature review yielded a total of 702 studies investigating caregiver-infant attachment. After removing duplicate studies, we also excluded compilations, meta-analyses, qualitative studies, those using different measurement tools, studies published in a language other than English, citations, and those whose full texts could not be accessed. Eventually, we considered a total of 26 studies with 33 Cronbach's alpha coefficients that satisfied the inclusion criteria. We normalized the alpha coefficients using Bonett's transformation, and the analyses were performed using a 95% confidence interval. The findings revealed a Cronbach's alpha (n = 33) coefficient of 0.73 (CI = 0.68-0.77); hence, the present reliability generalization study provides evidence that the reliability scores produced after measurements with the MIBS in previous studies are acceptable across samples. Overall, further studies may reliably utilize the MIBS to evaluate mother-infant attachment.

EXAMINATION OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS' PERCEPTIONS REGARDING GAME
(2022) Aral, Neriman; Deleş, Bayram; Demir, Emin
In this study, it is aimed to examine the perceptions of preschool teachers about the game. Descriptive research method and scanning model were used in the research. The study group of the research consisted of 145 preschool teachers working in independent kindergartens and kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. Research data were collected with “General Information Form” and “Game Perception Scale”. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that female teachers' levels of freedom and purpose of the game and game perception levels were significantly higher than male teachers. It was determined that the function of the game and the level of interest/curiosity/exploration in the game were significantly higher than the teachers working in private schools. It was concluded that the teachers who received training on the game had higher the function of the game, their level of interest/curiosity/exploration and the perception of the game in the game. In this context, depending on the fact that the perception levels of the teachers who receive training about the game are significantly higher, trainings for the game that include large masses can be made.

    Non-depleting energy in the museum
(Frontiers Media Sa, 2023) Dumenci, Sirma Seda Bapoglu; Aral, Neriman; Gursoy, Figen; Demir, Emin; Kadan, Gul; Tosun, Selim; Oz, Nur Sena
The present study aimed to uncover whether the renewable energy education carried out in a museum has an impact on awareness of renewable energy and the environment among children and their parents. The study was carried out with two groups of 65 children aged 6 years and their parents (n = 47). The findings revealed significant differences between the pretest and posttest in favor of the pretest and between pretest and follow-up test in favor of follow-up test, but there was no significant difference between posttest and follow-up test. We determined It was observed that the children had a considerable willingness to participate in the sessions and used the names of renewable energy sources in their follow-up drawings or their remarks on the drawings. Moreover, given the parents' statements, we discovered that the children acquired considerable awareness of the environment and efficient energy consumption and became acting more consciously toward renewable energy sources.

The Effects of Project Approach-Based Education on Cognitive Abilities and Scientific Process Skills of Six-Years Children
(Cukurova Univ, 2023) Metin, Sermin; Aral, Neriman; Uzun, Halil; Karaca, Nezahat Hamiden
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of project approach-based education on cognitive abilities and scientific process skills of six-years children. A pretest-posttest -retention test control group quasi-experimental design was implemented in this study. Two kindergartens were involved, determined by simple random sampling and with similar features according to teacher and director views. In order to collect data, General Information Form, Cognitive Ability Test Form-6 to identify children's cognitive abilities, and Scientific Process Skills Test were utilized. At the end of this study, it was found that the project approach-based education administered caused a significant difference in cognitive ability and scientific process skills in favor of the experimental group of children and had a middle effect size. The difference between the post-test and retain test mean scores of the children in the experimental group were insignificant, and the effect of the applied education continued.
